call me thick. but after downloading the podcasts they only play very quietly - and my speakers on high. What do i need to do? Or are they low volume for iPods etc?

I don't think it's your equipment.
As far as I know, the podcasts are compressed to 128kbps. They obviously start out at a much higher bitrate, depending on what the DJ converted it to originally.

The only thing I can think of in your case, is that you are trying to listen to a podcast that had a poor quality to start with maybe, even before it was compressed.

Although, that would be a very rare thing to happen, as ALL podcasts are checked prior to being available for download via Littlesouth and iTunes.

Please contact us at:
complaints@littlesouth.co.uk if you feel that could be the problem.

Good call Kris.

Also, check your computer's own volume control.

Start>> All Programmes>> Accessories>> Entertainment>> Volume Control

Check all levels are set to mid-high.

I'm sure this is the case as we have had no other problems reported and they play at standard level our end.

Hope this helps, but feel free to get back and let us know how you get on.

errrr, ok!! - YOU'RE THICK!!!   hth

but seriously...I've downloaded most of 'em now and haven't had any volume problems (or otherwise) to date.
Matts suggestion of your own PC's volume control gets my vote...I regularly have problems with that, suddenly drops for no obvious reason and it's always the last thing you check, 'cos it was ok last time you used it.

Let us know

cheers,

Dave.
