Following a lock, stock & barrel house & studio move, the birth of my baby boy and a year out, Disfunc and Daytoner are now up and running and making a racket again, and the first produce from the new studio have now been uploaded to myspace sites at ...
http://www.myspace.com/disfunc (analogue electro house club tracks)
http://www.myspace.com/daytonerbreaks (jazz-funk & comedy retro breaks)
As always I'd be really grateful for all honest (good, bad or indifferent) feedback on the tracks, and during October 08 only, any myspace comments or messages on the Daytoner site will be loyally rewarded with a return message containing a link to a free Daytoner donwload.
Friends & relatives seem to especially approve of the Daytoner track 'Little Wonder' which came from sampling the crowd rousing antics of a 12 year-old genius in the making, on an old 1963 live LP, which I felt compelled to add Daytoner piano, synths, breaks (and thanks to old co-hort Paddy) solid bass parts to create a 60s track with a modern twist. So I'd be especially keen for any views on this.
Finally any ex-Bosuns punters out there may be interested to know that we finally got round to compiling our old Bosuns Club posters for the years 2000-2007 which may generate some pangs of nostalgia for some. They're all now saved in an album of the pictures section of Disfunc's myspace and we're happy to email hi-res versions on request.
Thanks for your time and more news soon including a new Disfunc track, 'Cathedral'
Cheers
Disfunc & Daytoner
