We at Hard Energy + Hardcore Reloaded are broadening our horizons for the next few events and will be opening up a 3rd room feat House, Electro, Breaks + DnB

We are looking for local up + coming DJs to give them a chance to play and do what they love.

Was going to answer this with a blunt, rude reply but I wont

Believe it or not I have list of DJs as long as my arm x2 that would always come and play for us, unfortunately tho none of them play House, Electro, Breaks or DnB. We have never delved into that scene. However to provide a quality ALL MUSIC GENRE event we are now broadening our horizons.

As for fees thats a tuff one. From a promoters side of things it hard enuff these days to cover the basic overheads for an event, and over the last year this has got harders. We pay the most in the UK for our guest DJs, due to the travel distance, which hasnt been helped by the fuel increse.

As for local DJ, we pay a big name guest DJ what we pay them (sometimes over the 1,000 quid mark) because of the size of their name and you have every chance of making that money back. As for a local DJ who tries to charge say 50 quid, their name has to be big enuff to pull enough people in for them alone to warrent that fee. How do they make their name big enuff??? By playing as much as possible and having thier names on as many flyers as possible and building a fan base. How do you do that if promoters wont book you as you charge 50 quid??????????

I myself, and I know many, many others who have played numerous events + nights for free over the years, 1 to build our name + 2 because we love doing it.

I think its different when a venue books you as they have bar takings, cloak room takings etc. Promoters dont see a penny of that sadly.

So in answer to you childish, immature comment, NO there are no big fees involved, unless we are fortunate to make a huge profit on events (we can all dream). However you will be playing on the same line up as some of the biggest names in dance music, your name will be all over flyers + posters all over the S/W, and you will get to play out all those tunes you spend a fortune on and only play to ur bedroom wall.
