sound system to hire??

Postby jon on Sat May 12, 2007 4:39 am

planning small (private) party in june, but hiring a sound system is proving a pain as it'ss need to be run off a genny and that invalidates the hirer's insurance. anyone with a small(ish) rig??
falmouth way pref???

Just don't let them know what the genni is for you can always hire it through a works company then if it breaks down it happened while you were trying to pnumatically break up your patio... a bit of imaginative stuff doesn't do any harm lol

what are you doing up so late?
the geeni is not the prob....using it invalidates the insurance of the hirer for the sound system....prob it'll run fine, but i don't fancy a £2000 bill. i'd rather hire a system that's used to the abuses of outdoor parties....
cheers

my idea would be to hire a 2k rig for £90 + VAT from Impace Sound + Light, dont tell them ur going to use it outside on a genny (obviously). Its all plug and play and all u would need to do is plug their 2k EV amp into the genny and ur away. If something does go wrong with the sound system play ignorance 'eh mate dont know what happened to ur sound system, it was plugged in and then all off a sudden it stopped, they wont know whether it was plugged into a wall or genny. Also the best thing is if the police bust ur party and confiscate the rig, coz its not urs and is on hire from a company u can get it bac k :)

As Em said abit of imagination :)
