Sounds like a very obscure story, I think we should all be carefull before assuming people being drugged etc. In my view people just drink far too much and wonder why they pass out ! ;-)

...and with no mention of the venue or place it happened, it's even more vague :!:

It's like saying watch out for your drinks in Plymouth.

Ok I was trying not to point the finger, but yeah ok I will. We spent the whole night in the Corn Exchange and thats the ONLY place any drink was consumed that night. No it wasn't a case of too much alcohol and we are ALL usually very carefull not to drink too much.

Be vigilant people :!:

Its easy as hell: DO NOT LET DRINKS GO OUT OF SIGHT!

I dont know why anyone would leave a drink and go back to it? Your asking for trouble. Have you spoken to the Corn Exchange about this?

They had a problem with this last year I think? I'm sure once they are made aware of the problem they will stamp it out.

I was out DJ-ing this weekend and a guy completely off his face asked me to mind his drink for 5 minutes while he nipped off somewhere. 40 minutes later, he comes back, and downs it in one.

Ok, us DJ's are nice guys, and would never dream of doing anything like "spiking" drinks, but........

what a risk people like him take though.

I'm guilty of it myself. The amount of times you go to a club and find you have to leave your drink outside the toilet entrance.
Anything could happen really. But no, we're all still happy to down it no matter how much time has passed, and no matter who has been roaming near it.
:!:

Hope Corn get this latest bout of it under control.
Not fair on the reputation of the club.

I read an article in the paper about the soutwest being the worst place for this sort of thing because we're 'not as aware' of the dangers. Cheeky or what? [smilie=a_withstupid.gif]

hi all

im relativly new to all this clubbing lark, i usually go to pubs myself, but i was shocked when i went to newquay a few weeks ago whe some random guy offered me a pill right infront of the bouncers!! call me niave if u want but the bouncers simply didnt give two flying farts that this was going on in their club, this guy went and chatted up my mate in the end so i kept a good eye on him then ''accidently'' spilt my drink n stepped on his toe.

i hate drugs of any kind, even if they are offered ,but its even worse when u get spiked!!

This sort of talk can make and break clubs and bars. I think we should accept that if you put your drink down you have expect the worst case scenario.

Saw a report on a friends myspace page the other day stating that apparently the latest is a cocktail of rohypnol (spelling) and a powerful horse sterilisation pill. Leaves the victim with no memory of any abuse and sterile so no future paternity cases in case of pregnancy.
Don't know if it's genuine or not but if it is, there are some seriously sick f*cks out there!!!!

BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. - have we got any horse lovers / vets out there who might know if there is any such thing as a horse sterilisation pill ??

No!!! - we shouldn't have to 'accept' it!!! - think what you're saying...that goes along with "she was wearing a short skirt so was definitely asking for it yer'onour" as a rape defence....and that other popular one down here "he was drunk" (that one gets you off any charge apparently!)
A more severe deterrent should be in place, such as chemical castration (yeah baby, go boy!!!)..as they're obviously so overly-sexed they have no idea as to socially acceptable behaviour and should be taken out of circulation.

nuff said!!

Dave I agree with what you are saying 'In an ideal world and all...'. The original message I was trying to put out was that there are people in the area who are intent on spoiling our nights out.
